What is the Burlingame Spirit Run? It's a 10K and 5K run/walk, followed by a Health Expo, a Kids' Fun Run for children 5 and under, pancake breakfast, and games and activities suitable for all ages!

Why should I participate? Proceeds from the event go to support Burlingame Community for Education (BCE) Foundation, which raises money to support Burlingame public schools.

When is it? Labor Day, September 3, 2018 - The race begins at 8:00am at Burlingame Intermediate School and ends at Franklin Elementary School, meandering through the beautiful tree-lined streets of Ray Park and the Easton Addition.

Sounds great! Where do I sign up? Early registration through August 26th is just $35. Registration fees go up on August 27th - so register today! 100% of registration proceeds go to BCE.

  • ALL STUDENTS: School begins on Wednesday, August 22nd at 8:30 a.m. and all students are dismissed at 12:00 noon. Please join us that morning for our Welcome Back Parent Coffee from 8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. in the Hoover MU Room.
  • KINDERGARTEN: From Thursday 8/23 thru Friday 8/31 - kindergartners attend school from 8:30 am. - 12:00 noon. Regular day begins on Tuesday 9/4 - students attend from 8:30 - 2:00 p.m. every day.
  • GRADES 1 - 3: Thursday 8/23 & Friday 8/24, modified schedule for assessments - 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Regular day begins on Monday 8/27 - students attend from 8:30 - 3:00 p.m. (8:30 - 2:00 p.m. on all Tuesdays).
  • GRADES 4, 5: Regular day begins on Thursday 8/23 - students attend from 8:30 - 3:00 p.m. (8:30 - 2:00 p.m. on all Tuesdays).

Sunday, August 19th, 3 - 5 PM

Hoover PTA sponsors ice cream and the children can play while the parents visit.  Remember to bring your $ to join the PTA ($10/person) and buy Hoover Gear (prices vary).
